This office-based role suits a newly qualified or early-career lawyer eager to specialise in energy, including renewable projects, regulatory compliance, and conventional energy matters.

You will assist senior attorneys with client matters, conduct legal research, draft and review contracts, support due diligence, and participate in client meetings and hearings,

Competenze

• LLB degree required.
• Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa preferred.
• 0-3 years post-qualification experience.
• Interest in Energy Law desirable.

Mansioni

• Assist senior attorneys on energy-related matters including project development, financing, and regulatory issues.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on energy law and environmental regulations.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other energy project documents.
• Support due diligence investigations for energy sector transactions.
• Prepare memoranda, opinions, and client communications.
• Attend client meetings, regulatory hearings, and site visits as required.
• Stay current with developments in energy law and policy in South Africa and globally.
