Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Consultant to join a fully remote team serving commercial and industrial clients. The role focuses on energy audits, data analysis, and tailored efficiency strategies that reduce costs and environmental impact.

You will work independently, stay current with energy standards, and collaborate with internal teams for project development. A degree in engineering or environmental science and at least five years in energy consulting are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy auditing, energy management, or energy efficiency consulting.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, industrial processes and energy-efficient technologies (HVAC, lighting, motors).
• Proficiency in report writing and presentation; CEM certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed energy audits for commercial and industrial facilities.
• Analyze energy usage data to identify savings opportunities.
• Develop and present customized energy efficiency recommendations and implementation plans.
• Research and evaluate new energy-saving technologies and best practices.
• Assist clients in implementing energy efficiency projects, including incentives and rebates.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports documenting findings and proposed solutions.
• Monitor the performance of implemented energy efficiency measures.
• Engage with clients to build relationships and understand energy needs.

• Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus) is a plus.
• Strong client-facing and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CEM - Certified Energy Manager) are highly desirable.
