Job summary

La Motte Wine Estate in Franschhoek is seeking a vibrant Commis Chef for a fixed-term contract. You will assist senior chefs with measuring, prep, and basic plating, while maintaining cleanliness and stock control.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Measure ingredients for senior chefs and prep items.
• Season and prepare ingredients, wash/peel/chop vegetables and fruits.
• Prepare basic salads and sauces as directed by seniors.
• Take inventory when needed and manage stock sanity.
• Discard expired items and sanitize workstations.
• Perform basic cleaning and maintain hygiene at all times.
• Plate and present dishes under guidance of senior chefs.
