Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking an Endpoint & Identity Support Engineer in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role provides dedicated technical support for the endpoint, identity and authentication components backing Cisco Secure Access.

You will deploy, configure and troubleshoot Cisco Secure Client, integrate with Entra ID and Active Directory, and work with the CSA Lead Engineer to align with SASE/Zero Trust architectures while ensuring production readiness and knowledge transfer to client

Qualifications

• Matric and a tertiary qualification.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft enterprise desktop environments, Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA, certificates, and endpoint management.
• Experience with Cisco Secure Client or Cisco Secure Access is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Secure Client across endpoints.
• Investigate endpoint installation, upgrades, connectivity, and auth issues.
• Support integration with Microsoft Entra ID, AD, MFA, and certificate auth.
• Assist with identity, device and authentication dependencies for onboarding.
• Assist with endpoint configuration and software distribution using existing tooling.
• Collaborate with CSA Lead Engineer on alignment with Cisco Secure Access architecture.
• Support testing, remediation and production readiness for new users/devices.
• Maintain runbooks and operational procedures.

The Endpoint & Identity Support Engineer will provide dedicated technical support for the endpoint, identity and authentication components that underpin Client's Cisco Secure Access environment. The role will work closely with the Cisco Secure Access Lead Engineer / Architect to support deployment, troubleshooting and operational readiness across the end-user computing and Microsoft identity environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Secure Client across the Client endpoint estate.
• Investigate endpoint-related installation, upgrade, connectivity and authentication issues, including root cause analysis of failed or inconsistent deployments.
• Support integration and troubleshooting across Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA and certificate-based authentication.
• Assist with identity, device and authentication dependencies affecting Cisco Secure Access onboarding and user connectivity.
• Support endpoint configuration and software distribution using Client's existing endpoint management tooling, where applicable.
• Work with the CSA Lead Engineer to ensure endpoint configurations and deployment methods remain aligned with the overall Cisco Secure Access, SASE and Zero Trust architecture.
• Support testing, remediation and production-readiness activities for new users, devices and access scenarios.
• Maintain operational procedures, troubleshooting guides and relevant runbook content.
• Provide ongoing technical support and knowledge transfer to Client operational teams.

Qualifications

• Matric and a Tertiary Qualification
• Strong practical experience supporting Microsoft enterprise desktop environments, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA, certificates and endpoint management, together with experience troubleshooting enterprise software and security-client deployments.
• Experience with Cisco Secure Client, Cisco Secure Access or comparable enterprise secure-access technologies would be highly advantageous.
