Job summary

Italtile is seeking a detail-driven Accountant to join our finance team in Vereeniging. You will handle end-to-end accounting, support management accounts, and maintain strong internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include month-end journals, GL reconciliations, asset management, AP/GRIR, reporting, and VAT compliance. SAP proficiency and advanced Excel skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• B.Com or similar accounting/finance qualification.
• At least 3 years in an accounting role.
• Proficiency with SAP and strong Excel skills.
• Understanding VAT, reconciliations, and month-end cycles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, VAT reallocations, stock adjustments, provisions, and other entries.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform timely balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and variance investigations.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, process depreciation, and support asset verification.
• Oversee supplier invoice validations, PO/GRN matching, VAT checks, and coding accuracy.
• Support supplier reconciliations and ensure accurate payment batches.
• Assist in preparing quarterly packs, KPIs, flash reports, and consolidation inputs.
• Collaborate with auditors providing schedules and reconciliations.
• Compile VAT reconciliations and ensure monthly submissions.
• Support inventory tasks including stock counts and SAP reconciliations.
