Placements24 invites a motivated Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Tembisa facility in Gauteng. You will assist in designing and testing mechanical components, creating 3D models, and collaborating with senior engineers in a vibrant manufacturing environment.

This early-career role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1–3 years of experience, offering hands-on exposure to CAD tools, design standards, and product development cycles with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–3 years mechanical design experience or internships.
• Proficiency in CAD software and GD&T is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD.
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings with accuracy.
• Support senior engineers in basic calculations and simulations.
• Participate in prototype building and testing; document results.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Contribute to design reviews and maintain documentation archives.
