Qualifications

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent mandatory.
• Specialist training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
• Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery desirable.
• HPCSA registration as a specialist surgeon.
• 10+ years post-specialization experience in cosmetic and reconstructive work.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced techniques and instrumentation.
• Excellent judgment, precision and dexterity.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and counselling skills.
• Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient advocacy.
• Proven ability to lead within a high-performing surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
• Lead complex reconstructive surgeries for congenital or trauma-related cases.
• Conduct thorough patient consultations outlining options, risks and outcomes.
• Develop individualized surgical plans based on anatomy and history.
• Manage pre- and post-operative care to optimize recovery.
• Maintain highest surgical standards and patient safety.
• Continue professional development through learning and conferences.
• Collaborate with anaesthesiologists, nurses and staff for seamless care.
• Contribute to clinic reputation through outstanding outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records in line with regulations.
