Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient consultations, providing detailed information on surgical options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Develop individualized surgical plans based on patient anatomy, goals, and medical history.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care meticulously, ensuring optimal patient recovery and satisfaction.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or equivalent medical degree is mandatory.
• Completion of specialist training and qualification as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, recognized by the relevant South African authorities.
• Fellowship or extensive additional training in Cosmetic Surgery is highly desirable.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a specialist surgeon.
• A minimum of 10 years of post-specialization surgical experience, with a strong emphasis on both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
