Job summary

Durpro Workforce Solutions is looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to join their team in Durban. Candidates need a Matric certificate with Maths, and a Diploma in Mechatronics or Electronics.

The role involves assisting Electricians, conducting PLC fault findings, and ensuring effective maintenance of machinery. The ideal candidate should have experience with high-speed machines and must demonstrate a solid understanding of various electronic maintenance protocols.

Qualifications

• Matric with a pass in Maths is required.
• Diploma in Mechatronics or Electronics is necessary.
• Experience in factory maintenance for 5 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Electricians with electronics breakdowns.
• Conduct PLC fault finding on various equipment.
• Liaise with OEM to resolve equipment failures.
• Carry out planned maintenance and respond to service requests.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric with Maths pass
• Diploma in Mechatronics, Electronics
• Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
• Apprenticeship training, preferably 3 – 4 years
• Successfully completed trade test as artisan
• General factory maintenance on high-speed machines for 5 years, Or preferably experience on paper sack converting and printing machinery for a similar period
• Working experience on Flexo, Gravure and Lamination machines
• Vast experience on Siemens drives, Lenze drives and PLC.
• PLC fault finding
• Maintenance and repairs on various drives and HMI
