Job summary

Lesaka Technologies Inc. in Durban, South Africa, seeks a skilled electronics technician to join our Crypto Production team. You will diagnose faults to component level, repair PCBs, solder and desolder, and support both production and new product development on the bench.

You’ll read schematics, test with oscilloscopes and multimeters, design test jigs, and load firmware for microprocessors. The role requires an Electronic Engineering diploma, 3+ years of relevant experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electronic Engineering (Light Current).
• 3+ years' experience in a similar technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors and microprocessors.
• Excellent soldering and desoldering skills.
• Experience designing and building test jigs.
• Computer literacy.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Fault-find and repair electronic assemblies at component level.
• Test circuits and diagnose faults using oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.
• Read and interpret schematics, circuit diagrams (analog and digital), technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Design and assemble test jigs.
• Solder, desolder, wire, assemble and prototype electronic circuits, and repair PCBs.
• Carry out mechanical assembly and quality control.
• Load firmware onto microprocessors and run software-based diagnostic tests.
• Support new product development alongside the production team.
