Job summary

HENSOLDT South Africa is seeking a skilled Testfield Technician to perform electronic product testing, diagnostics, and component-level repairs in a production environment in Pretoria. You will verify functionality, quality, and compliance with technical requirements and customer specifications, ensuring reliable electronic products reach customers.

Key duties include test preparation, diagnostics, repair, and maintaining traceable test documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within an electronic manufacturing or production test environment.
• Practical experience in RF measurements is a prerequisite.
• Experience in component-level fault finding and repair within a military electronic environment.
• Experience with analogue and digital electronics and associated test equipment.
• IPC certification will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute electronic product testing using approved documentation and test setups to verify functionality and conformance.
• Perform systematic diagnostics and fault finding at component and system level to identify defects.
• Perform component-level repairs, soldering, and rework to restore units to functionality.
• Verify workmanship and compliance through prescribed tests to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain accurate test records, job cards and FRACAS reports for traceability and delivery targets.
