Job summary

South African Bareau of Standards (SABS) invites unemployed graduates to join a 12-month Youth Development Programme in Laboratory Services (Electro-Technical). The stipend is R8,000 per month for the duration of the internship, starting April 2026.

Participants will gain hands-on experience through rotational assignments, mentoring, and structured training aligned to national skills priorities. Applicants must be South African citizens, 18–35, with a relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training and development within the Youth Development Programme.
• Gain practical workplace experience through rotational assignments.
• Assist with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks.
• Apply academic knowledge in a practical work environment.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn, grow and contribute to team objectives.
• Comply with policies, procedures and professional standards.
• Submit progress reports and complete assessments during the programme.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
