Job summary

Headhunters seeks a qualified Millwright to maintain and service large electrical and mechanical installations on client sites in Johannesburg. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, interpret P&IDs and mechanical schematics, and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs.

Applicants should have a completed apprenticeship and Section 13/26D trade test, with a minimum of five years’ experience. MHSA/OHSA compliance, safe work practices, and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Millwright with apprenticeship completed or equivalent training.
• Section 13 or 26D Trade Test Certificate as Millwright (Electro-Mechanician).
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience maintaining large electrical and mechanical installations.
• Strong electrical background with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with SCADA/PLC is advantageous.
• Familiar with field control instrumentation and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain asset registers and CMMS data accuracy.
• Attend breakdowns promptly and prioritise work orders.
• Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance team and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with MHSA/OHSA and ISO requirements.
• Mentor junior artisans and drive continuous improvement.
