Job summary

Quantum Foods in Malmesbury, Western Cape, is seeking an Electrician to join the Nova Feeds Division. You will be responsible for electrical maintenance of the feed milling plant and associated factories, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, basic understanding of permit-to-work and ISO 45001 safety standards, and a willingness to work shifts and standby. A valid driver’s licence and own transport are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance of plant and factories to ensure safe operation.
• Diagnose faults and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair and maintain control circuits and wiring systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and related automation equipment.
• Understand and apply permit-to-work and ISO 45001 safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, and test electrical circuits, panels, equipment, and related installations.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform effective repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Repair and maintain control circuits, wiring systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and automation equipment.
• Ensure installations comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate faults to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist with energy conservation monitoring and improvements.
