Job summary

The Talent Room in Western Cape is seeking a qualified Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, reliable, and capable of fault-finding with little supervision.

The role requires reading electrical drawings, complying with codes, and communicating effectively with clients and team members. Minimum Grade 12 and a valid trade qualification are preferred; Industrial Electrician

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with Trade Test or recognised electrical qualification.
• Experience in residential, commercial and industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Inspect electrical systems to identify faults, defects, or safety risks
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, and regulations
• Test electrical systems using appropriate testing devices
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members
