Job summary

BevCo seeks a qualified electrical artisan to maintain plant technology at high efficiency, ensuring product quality and on-time delivery. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, attend breakdowns, and analyze trends.

Adherence to HSE, quality and food safety frameworks is essential, with a strong emphasis on hygiene and reporting risks promptly. The role requires experience in bottling/food beverage environments, instrumentation, and electrical drawings, plus solid communication

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science applications.
• N6 Artisan in Electrical trade with relevant plant maintenance.
• Extensive experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintenance planning and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Purpose

Maintain the plant technology to a high level of efficiency, to deliver the required amount of product to the stipulated quality standards at the right time. Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance in the plant as required.

Key Performance Drivers

• Operational Effectiveness - Ensure that manufacturing machines are optimised for quality output. Daily walkthrough
• Preventative Maintenance - Ensure that the machines properly maintained
• Ad hoc maintenance - Ensure that breakdowns are attended to quickly and efficiently. Breakdowns to be recorded and trends analysed. Standby after hours for production.
• Health, Safety, Quality and Environment - Adhere to company policies and procedures; adhere to standards; compliance to quality and FSSC 22000 requirements; adhere to all food safety standards and report on all issues regarding the food safety management system to the food safety system.
• Food safety and quality culture - To uphold accurate food safety and quality standards by following established procedures, ensuring proper hygiene and promptly address potential risks; Promoting a strong food safety and quality culture by maintaining a keen eye for detail; Promptly report issues identified that could result in an unsafe or out of specification product.
