Job summary

EdUpStairs is seeking two Linesmen for deployment across Waltloo, Pretoriuspark Depot and Tshwane locations. The roles require Grade 10, Linesman Course, and a Code C1 with PrDP. Applicants should have at least six months’ experience in local authority electrical networks and be prepared for shifts and overtime.

Safety is paramount; candidates must pass a criminal record check and be willing to work anywhere in Tshwane as directed. SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 educational level.
• Linesman Course completed.
• At least six months’ experience in local authority electrical networks.
• Valid Code C1 driving licence with PrDP.
• Physical fitness and health to perform heavy manual tasks.
• Willingness to work shifts, standby and overtime.
• Criminal record check with fingerprints at own cost.
• Willing to be placed anywhere in Tshwane as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal use of resources to meet project targets and dates.
• Construct the electrical network to deliver effective service.
• Maintain the existing electrical network for stability.
• Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993).
• Rotate tasks across operational teams to enhance multiskilling.
