Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking an Electrical/Instrument Design Engineer for a Cape Town–based engineering consultancy. The role focuses on detailed engineering design, tender documentation, cost control, and project management for predominantly industrial projects.

The successful candidate will perform rigorous design work, develop quantities, manage documentation, and oversee testing, commissioning and as-built delivery, while contributing to scope audits and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and preparing Fee Proposals
• Performing Detailed Engineering Design and Specifications
• Developing Schedules of Quantities
• Creating Tender Documentation and participating in Tender Adjudication
• Handling Contract Documentation
• Project Management, including cost control, payment certificates, project scheduling, and recording of minutes
• Testing and Commissioning
• Creating As-built documentation and drawings
• Conducting initial audits to ascertain the Scope of work
