Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to travel to customer sites around Mahikeng to install, troubleshoot, and maintain complex electrical equipment. You will be the primary technical contact, delivering timely resolutions and high service quality.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years field experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to provide essential technical support and maintenance services to their clients in and around Mahikeng . This role involves traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical and electronic equipment. You will be the primary technical point of contact, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert service and timely resolution of issues. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electrical equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns to minimize customer downtime.
• Document service activities, including repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to provide feedback on product performance and customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service, technical support, or maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electronics , control systems, and power distribution.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Mahikeng region and surrounding areas.
