Placements24 seeks an Electrical Field Engineer to support operations in and around Queenstown. You will install, commission, maintain and repair electrical systems at client sites, acting as the technical lead for electrical issues with a focus on safety and quality.

The role suits a proactive engineer who enjoys field work, problem solving, and working across diverse environments. A National Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required along with 2–4 years of field experience.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or Electrical Technician.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels and wiring standards.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively in the region.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain electrical systems and equipment per specs and safety standards.
• Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting to resolve electrical issues.
• Conduct site surveys to determine project requirements and challenges.
• Provide on-site technical support to customers and installation teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including risk assessments and permits-to-work.
