Placements24 in Kimberley is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Drafter to produce precise drawings and documentation for building services projects, including residential, commercial and institutional facilities.

Under the guidance of electrical engineers, you will translate concepts into executable plans, maintain drawing registers, and support the team to meet project deadlines with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience in electrical drafting for building services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit MEP is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings including power layouts, lighting plans, and schematic diagrams.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, complete and compliant with codes and standards.
• Assist in preparation of specifications and BOQs for electrical installations.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Drafter to join their team in Kimberley . In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and accurate electrical drawings and documentation for a range of building services projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. Working under the guidance of electrical engineers, you will translate design concepts into practical, executable plans, ensuring all technical requirements are met. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, including power layouts, lighting plans, and schematic diagrams using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant building codes and electrical standards.
• Assist in the preparation of specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for electrical installations.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to incorporate design changes and updates into drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure efficient document control and management.
• Support the design team in all drafting-related tasks for ongoing projects.

Requirements

• National Diploma or relevant certification in Electrical Engineering or Drafting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical drafting, preferably with building services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit MEP is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and building systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet project deadlines.
