Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the distribution networks division in East London, South Africa. You will oversee design, construction, operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution system, ensuring reliable power supply and regulatory compliance.

You will manage a team of engineers and technicians, drive strategic initiatives, and oversee budgets, timelines and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering with 5+ years in distribution networks.
• Strong leadership and project management.
• Experience with substations, protection, and SCADA.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering team responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of distribution networks.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for network expansion, upgrades, and modernization.
• Ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of the power distribution system.
• Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and project timelines for engineering activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations and company standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the department.
