Job summary

S4 Integration (Pty) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer in the Eastern Cape region.

The role involves providing technical support across the design lifecycle, assembling electrical systems and prototypes, and ensuring proper installation and maintenance of control systems. Key tasks include using E-Plan Electric P8 and E-Plan 5 for design work, conducting tests, and collaborating with engineers to resolve developmental problems.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or diploma required or preferred.
• Experience with E-Plan Electric P8 and E-Plan 5 is required.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team. We are seeking a motivated professional with a passion for delivering exceptional electrical design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after assembly.
• Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Install and maintain electrical control.
• Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
• Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment.
• Analyse and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems

Basic Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree / diploma or a mechatronics qualification is preferred
• Experience in designing using E-Plan Electric P8 and E-Plan 5
