Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leader in process engineering and industrial automation, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Instrumentation and Control to join their team in Mahikeng, North West . This role is vital for designing, specifying, and implementing control systems for complex industrial processes. You will work on projects involving PLCs, SCADA systems, and various instrumentation technologies to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical foundation in control theory, automation hardware, and software, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for industrial automation projects.


• Specify and select instrumentation, control valves, PLCs, HMIs, and other automation components.


• Program and configure PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMIs for various process control applications.


• Develop SCADA system architecture and configuration.


• Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) for control systems.


• Collaborate with process engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers to ensure integrated solutions.


• Troubleshoot and provide support for control system issues during commissioning and operation.


• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.


• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and test reports.


• Stay updated with the latest advancements in industrial automation and control technologies.

Requirements
