Placements24 is seeking a skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our Kimberley-based team. You will design, implement, and optimize PLC and HMI control systems for industrial applications, ensuring reliable operation of complex machinery and processes.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of hands-on experience, and proficiency with Siemens and Rockwell PLCs, HMI development, and familiar protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing and implementing industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley) and HMI development software.
• Understanding of industrial protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLC and HMI systems for industrial applications.
• Develop and maintain control system architecture, logic, and user interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems, instrumentation, and electrical hardware.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and operations teams to integrate control solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation including control narratives, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
