About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled Control Systems Engineer to enhance their automation and control solutions in Centurion, Gauteng . In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems that optimize industrial processes. You will work on challenging projects that require a deep understanding of automation technology, process control, and electrical engineering principles. Key Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems for various industrial applications.
• Develop and maintain electrical control panel designs, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
• Implement and troubleshoot automation logic, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to define control system requirements and specifications.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and provide on-site or remote support.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in control system technologies and automation solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• Proven experience with major PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA/HMI platforms.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
