Job summary

RPO Recruitment's client, a well-established Electrical Consulting Engineering firm in Durban, seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery of large-scale electrical projects from inception through completion. You will oversee contractors, coordinate teams and ensure safety, quality, and timely execution.

The ideal candidate has extensive construction management experience on major electrical infrastructure projects, including High Mast Lighting, MV/LV, and solar energy

Qualifications

• Experience in High Mast Lighting design and construction management.
• Experience on MV and LV electrical projects.
• Experience in solar energy design and implementation.
• Construction management and contract administration.
• Structural assessments.
• Proficient project planning and scheduling using MS Project.
• Experience managing projects > R25 million.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction and delivery of electrical projects from inception to completion.
• Oversee contractors and ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Administer construction contracts and ensure contractual compliance.
• Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Monitor programmes, budgets, progress and reporting.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality procedures.
