About the Role Our client, a progressive educational institution in George, Western Cape, ZA , is seeking an innovative Educational Technology Integration Specialist. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing teaching and learning through the strategic implementation and support of educational technologies. You will be instrumental in empowering educators and students with the tools and knowledge to leverage technology effectively in the classroom and beyond. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, pedagogical understanding, and strong interpersonal skills. While this role is primarily based in our George campus, a flexible hybrid work arrangement allows for some remote flexibility. You will work closely with faculty, IT staff, and administrative teams to drive technological advancements within our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with educators to identify and integrate appropriate educational technologies into their curriculum.
• Provide professional development and ongoing support to staff and students on the effective use of learning technologies.
• Evaluate, recommend, and pilot new educational technology tools and platforms.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to educational software and hardware, liaising with IT support.
• Develop and maintain documentation, guides, and training materials for educational technologies.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in educational technology and digital learning.
• Support the development and implementation of digital learning strategies across the institution.
• Assist in the management and upkeep of educational technology infrastructure.
• Foster a culture of innovation and digital literacy within the educational community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
