Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Education Technology Specialist to enhance teaching and learning at our Durban campus, by integrating technology into daily academic activities.

You will support faculty and students with educational tools, platforms, and digital resources, train users, troubleshoot, and drive adoption of new technologies across the learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, IT, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in educational technology support or integration.
• Proficiency with LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and educational software.
• Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and how tech supports them.
• Excellent communication and customer service; able to explain tech to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training on educational technologies and LMS.
• Assist in selection, implementation, and management of edu software/hardware solutions.
• Develop and deliver workshops to promote effective use of technology in teaching and learning.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to educational platforms and digital learning tools promptly.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in educational technology and recommend innovative solutions to improve the learning experience.
