Job summary

Immploy Recruitment is seeking a capable Graphic Designer to join our client’s team in Cape Town. The role focuses on designing advertisements, newspaper/editorial layouts, and digital content while meeting quality and production deadlines.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent, with strong layout, typography, and software skills, and be able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Graphic Design or related field, or Grade 12 with extensive graphic design experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or QuarkXPress required.
• Strong layout and typography skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and people skills for collaboration with editorial and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Design advertisements and editorial pages.
• Create layouts, graphics, charts, tables, maps and other visual content.
• Edit video content for digital platforms and events.
• Prepare and submit print-ready PDF pages.
• Calibrate and quality-check images for print.
• Ensure designs follow the required style and guidelines.
• Maintain and update digital archives.
• Work closely with editorial and production teams.
• Attend design meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Meet all production, printing and digital deadlines.
