Job summary

Cape Peninsula University of Technology seeks an ECP Lecturer in Engineering Communication on a two-year contract. The role focuses on lecturing English communication, academic literacy and information literacy within the undergraduate extended curriculum programme in Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering.

Proficiency in English is essential. Requirements include a Master’s in Communications or related field and at least two years of lecturing or equivalent industry experience.

Qualifications

• A Masters qualification in Communications, Linguistics or related fields relevant to teaching communication skills and academic literacy.
• At least two years lecturing experience at the higher education level or two years related industry experience or a combination of the two.

Job Purpose

The person will be required to lecture English Communication skills, academic literacy and information literacy on the undergraduate extended curriculum programme (ECP) programme in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering.
