Job summary

Alstom in South Africa seeks an Economic Development & Transformation Manager to drive ED&T within the procurement function. You will coordinate strategy execution, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with BBBEE and local content targets.

Qualifications

• Finance-related qualification with at least 5 years in socio-economic development.
• Experience interpreting customer requirements to shape business & supplier commitments.
• Knowledge of BBBEE Act and localization drivers.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer ED&T requirements with emphasis on Local Content and Skills Development.
• Define and monitor ED&T strategy and execution plans within procurement.
• Report progress and risks to procurement leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead ED&T audits and coordinate with internal/external parties.
• Provide ED&T training to employees and suppliers when required.
• Support accurate reporting and timely data submission for ED&T performance.
