Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce online sales platform from start to end with strategy for the South African market.
Analyze online market trends and customer data to identify growth and expansion opportunities.
Ensure that all products, prices, and stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
Optimize the website for speed, user experience (UX), and mobile-friendliness.
Manage integrations with payment gateways (PayFast, PayGate, Ozow, etc.) and delivery partners (The Courier Guy, PUDO, Fastway, etc.).
Plan and manage digital campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook / Instagram), TikTok, and email.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop SEO, social media, and content strategies.
Analyze campaign performance and optimize ad spending for maximum return on investment (ROI).
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly online sales, conversion rates, and average order value.
Use analytical tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.) to measure performance.
Prepare management reports with recommendations for improvement.
Ensure a smooth ordering process, accurate inventory levels, and timely delivery to customers.
Develop strategies for customer retention, loyalty programs, and feedback processes.
Handle escalations and coordinate with customer service and logistics teams.
Collaborate with third-party partners (web developers, marketing agencies, delivery companies).
Lead a small e-commerce support team or coordinator.
Ensure that all online processes comply with POPIA and data security requirements.
Degree in Marketing, E-commerce, Business Management, or a related field.
Digital marketing or data analysis certification (e.g. Google Ads, HubSpot, Meta Blueprint) is an advantage.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce or digital marketing within a South African retail environment.
Experience with online sales platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Takealot Seller Portal, etc.).
Knowledge of local payment gateways, logistics partners, and online consumer behaviour in South Africa.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking.
Proficiency in Google Analytics, SEO, PPC, and social media marketing.
Good project management and team leadership skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and customer experience.
Exceptional leadership abilities, with a proven track record of effectively managing teams and driving results.
Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data and market insights to inform decision making.
