Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our Vereeniging team. You will create a stimulating, nurturing space for children aged 2-5, delivering play-based learning and documenting developmental progress.

The role emphasizes safe, inclusive learning, strong collaboration with parents and colleagues, and supporting holistic development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children in a formal childcare setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the early years curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
• Strong understanding of child development principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based learning activities for children aged 2-5.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate developmental records.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
• Build positive and collaborative relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's development and activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
