Placements24 is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join their Pietermaritzburg learning center. You will create a safe, stimulating environment for 3-5 year olds, implementing age-appropriate curricula that support holistic development.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
• In-depth knowledge of child development theories and pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education best practices.
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities including art, music, stories, and outdoor play.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining records and communicating with parents.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration.
• Foster positive social interactions and guide children in developing problem-solving and emotional regulation skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute special events and parent-teacher conferences.
