Placements24 is seeking an Educational Psychologist to support early learning in a community-focused setting in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role emphasizes psycho-educational assessments, tailored intervention plans, and collaboration with educators and parents to foster optimal child development.

The candidate will provide counseling, work with diverse learners, and stay current with best practices in educational psychology. Hybrid work arrangements are available to support flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology.
• Registration with HPCSA as Educational Psychologist.
• Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience with young children.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify learning disabilities and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and supports.
• Provide counseling and emotional support to children and families.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to create supportive learning environments.
• Train educators on child psychology and development milestones.
• Lead workshops for parents on child development and well-being.
• Maintain confidential records of assessments and progress.
• Stay updated with research and best practices in educational psychology.
