Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for a nurturing and qualified Early Childhood Development Practitioner to join their established center in Paarl. This role involves creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for young children, fostering their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. You will plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, monitor children's progress, and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development. Based in the picturesque Western Cape , this position is ideal for passionate educators dedicated to providing a strong foundation for lifelong learning in young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote holistic child development.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Observe, assess, and document children's progress, identifying any developmental needs or challenges.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians about their child's development, behavior, and learning.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (e.g., NQF Level 4 or 5).
• Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
