Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Child Development Officer for an early learning centre in Nelspruit. The role focuses on planning and implementing programs that support holistic development from infancy through early primary school age, collaborating with educators and parents to ensure a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that fosters cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Development, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in child development programming and assessment.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging educational programs tailored to the developmental needs of children across various age groups.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
• Assess children's developmental progress and provide individualized support and guidance.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to foster strong home-school partnerships and share insights into child development.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the childcare facility.
