Job summary

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Child Development Officer to lead and manage community-based early childhood programs in Mahikeng. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that support child development, family engagement, and access to quality early learning services within the community. You will work collaboratively with local stakeholders, NGOs, and government agencies to ensure programs are effective, inclusive, and meet the needs of the children and families served. This position is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about improving outcomes for young children in the North West province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage community outreach programs focused on child development and early learning.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify community priorities and tailor program offerings accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local organizations, and service providers.
  • Oversee program implementation, monitoring progress, and evaluating impact.
  • Provide training and support to community facilitators and volunteers involved in program delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements and reporting obligations.
Requirements
