Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Development Coordinator in Mahikeng, North West. You will lead educational programs and developmental strategies for young children, ensuring activities are engaging, age-appropriate and aligned with best practices.

You will oversee curriculum development, supervise staff, conduct professional development, and maintain strong parent relationships to support each child’s learning journey. A strong background in ECE and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
• Proven curriculum development and program implementation experience.
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
• Ability to train, mentor and motivate staff.
• Must be able to work in Mahikeng, North West; First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the early childhood curriculum and educational programs.
• Ensure all programs meet or exceed educational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of early childhood educators and support staff.
• Conduct regular staff training and professional development sessions.
• Monitor children's progress and development, providing guidance for individualized learning plans.
• Maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, facilitating communication about their child’s learning and development.
• Manage classroom resources and ensure a safe, stimulating learning environment.
• Conduct regular program evaluations and implement improvements as needed.
• Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders as required.
• Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the role.
