Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Professional with a strong focus on child development for a facility in Mahikeng. You will provide high-quality care, implement engaging activities, and support holistic development in young children.

You will create a safe, nurturing environment, observe progress, and communicate with parents about daily activities and children's growth. A passion for early learning and respectful caregiving is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional childcare setting.
• Knowledge of child development stages and best practices in early childhood education.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement a variety of developmentally appropriate activities, including educational games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
• Assist children with daily routines such as feeding, napping, and personal hygiene.
• Observe and assess children's progress, identifying individual needs and adjusting activities accordingly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
