About the Role

Our client is searching for a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Development (ECD) Facilitator to join their progressive educational center in Benoni, Gauteng. This role focuses on implementing a robust play-based learning curriculum for children aged 4-6 years. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child development theories and a creative approach to fostering learning through exploration, experimentation, and discovery. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, play-based lesson plans and activities for children aged 4-6.
• Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Observe, assess, and document children's progress, focusing on developmental milestones and individual learning styles.
• Facilitate children's social-emotional development, promoting positive interactions, empathy, and self-regulation.
• Manage daily classroom routines, including transitions, snack times, and rest periods.
• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute special events, projects, and learning experiences.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and educational standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working with children aged 4-6 in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of play-based learning methodologies.
• Excellent observation, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and classroom management abilities.

• First Aid certification is advantageous.
