About the Role

Our client, a nurturing and stimulating early learning center in Centurion, Gauteng , is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Development (ECD) Educator. This role is central to providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for young children, fostering their holistic development. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development principles and a genuine love for working with children. This position is based entirely on-site, ensuring direct interaction and hands-on engagement with the children in our Centurion facility.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans aligned with the ECD curriculum framework. Plan and execute daily activities that promote learning through play, exploration, and interaction. Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying areas needing support. Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence. Foster positive social and emotional development by guiding children in conflict resolution and cooperation. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, well-being, and daily activities. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times. Collaborate effectively with fellow educators and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience. Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance skills and share best practices.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (e.g., NQF Level 4 or 5).
• Previous experience working with young children in an ECD setting.
• A strong understanding of child psychology and developmental milestones.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, warmth, creativity, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and ensure child safety.
• Knowledge of relevant ECD policies and procedures.
• First Aid certification is a requirement or willingness to obtain it.
• Must be available for full-time, on-site work in Centurion .
