Job summary

Imveliso Group in Cape Town is seeking an E-Commerce Operations Assistant on a 6-month contract at our Edgemead office. You will support the day-to-day e-commerce admin tasks to ensure smooth operations, including customer service, office management and some bookkeeping.

This hands-on role requires initiative, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a small team. The position is on-site, with a salary between R7,500 and R10,000 per month depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, order and manage stationery, packaging and office consumables.
• Barcode, label and repackage items when necessary.
• Assist the Operations Assistant with picking and packing where necessary.
• Respond to customer queries via email or WhatsApp.
• Complete bookkeeping tasks, including invoice coding, invoice matching and basic monthly reconciliations.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries.
• Keep the storeroom and front office organised and tidy.
• Assist with e-commerce platform operations, including product listings, product descriptions, order follow-up and customer feedback collection.
• Support content operations, including product copywriting, photo and video material collection, basic video shooting, product display content, promotional materials and simple online content updates.
• Complete any other ad hoc tasks as required.
