Placements24 in Durban seeks a highly analytical Diagnostic Automotive Technician to join a busy service centre. You will identify and resolve challenging vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and deep knowledge of automotive systems.

In this role, you will propose effective repair strategies, communicate findings clearly, and stay updated on new vehicle technologies through ongoing training in a modern Durban workshop. Collaboration and technical excellence are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Certified Automotive Technician with a diagnostics focus.
• Experience with engine management, ABS, airbags and climate control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify faults.
• Use diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues accurately.
• Interpret data, service bulletins and repair manuals for repair plans.
• Communicate findings and recommended repairs to advisors and customers.
• Perform complex repairs on engines, transmissions and electronic systems.
