Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Full-Time Nanny and Early Development Specialist for a busy Durban family. You will provide loving care for two children, ages 2 and 5, while fostering safe, stimulating activities that support their growth.

The role requires a proactive, patient professional with expertise in early childhood development, strong communication with parents, and the ability to plan daily routines, meals, and learning experiences in Durban’s home environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a nanny or similar childcare role.
• Deep understanding of early childhood development stages.
• First Aid and CPR certification mandatory.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan daily activities independently and safely.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and provide references.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care and ensure safety and development.
• Design age-appropriate learning activities with play-based learning.
• Plan meals and snacks according to dietary needs.
• Arrange indoor/outdoor activities and outings in Durban.
• Assist with potty training and hygiene routines.
• Maintain tidy play areas and children's bedrooms.
• Manage daily schedules and nap times.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress.
• Foster curiosity, independence, and love of learning.
