Qualifications

• Proven experience as a childminder or nanny for multiple children.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate care practices.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine affection for children.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to live in the family home in Durban.
• Legally authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant supervision and ensure safety of all children under care.
• Plan and organize indoor and outdoor activities, games, and outings.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, accommodating dietary needs.
• Assist children with homework and school tasks.
• Manage daily routines including bathing, dressing, and sleep schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness of children's rooms and play areas.
• Transport children to and from school, activities and appointments.
• Communicate regularly with parents about activities and progress.
• Foster a positive, stimulating environment encouraging learning and growth.
