Placements24 is seeking a DevOps Engineer with Automation expertise to join the Durban IT operations team. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure as code, and automate provisioning and deployments to improve reliability and velocity.

You will collaborate with development and operations to streamline workflows, manage cloud resources, and ensure secure, cost-effective deployments in a dynamic tech environment in Durban.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent work experience in computing fields.
• 3+ years in DevOps or systems administration with automation focus.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Automate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for improvement and stability.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient release cycles.
• Manage and scale cloud infrastructure resources, ensuring security and cost-effectiveness.
