Job summary

NH Hotels in Johannesburg Sandton seeks a professional driver to provide safe, courteous transport for guests and ensure timely service. The role requires comprehensive vehicle knowledge, adherence to local road rules, and intimate familiarity with the service area to avoid delays.

You will speak fluent English, understand local driving norms, maintain the vehicle to the highest standard, assist guests with luggage, and be prepared to install child seats when needed.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of the service area and routes to destinations to ensure timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Drive guests safely and professionally, ensuring punctual arrival and comfort.
• Maintain and care for the vehicle, keeping it clean and ready for service.
• Assist guests with luggage loading and unloading, ensuring care and protection of belongings.
• Install child seats in vehicles as required and ensure child safety.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To be a Master in the Profession of Driving
• To have a full professional knowledge of capabilities of the vehicle in which they work, and the rules of the road in the country of operation.
• To have an intimate and detailed knowledge of the area in which they work, and to know all the ways to effectively get between destinations - to never be lost and to never be late.
• To speak excellent English, together with the language of operation.
• To understand the informal rules and driving habits in the country of operation, and thereby anticipate problems in order to protect themselves, their guests and their vehicle.
• To know how to maintain and care for their vehicle, and to keep it in perfect condition at all times. Ensure that all the set up in the limousine is ready prior to the service.
• To anticipate guest needs and handle guest inquiries in a helpful and attentive manner.
• To assist the guest with the luggage loading. All NH Hotels drivers know how to transport more luggage in a car than there would appear to be space to hold it.
• To know how to fit and install all existing makes of child seat into a limousine, to the full satisfaction and delight of the child’s mother.
