About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Drilling Engineer to manage and oversee onshore drilling operations in the Centurion area. This critical role involves planning, executing, and supervising all drilling activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with rig crews, geologists, and management to optimize drilling performance, mitigate risks, and adhere to stringent environmental and safety standards. The successful candidate will be hands-on, technically proficient, and capable of making critical decisions in a dynamic operational setting within the Gauteng province.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drilling programs and procedures, ensuring alignment with project objectives and safety regulations.
• Supervise drilling operations on-site, providing technical guidance to rig personnel and troubleshooting operational challenges.
• Manage drilling equipment, logistics, and service providers to ensure timely and efficient operations.
• Monitor drilling parameters, analyze performance data, and implement optimizations to improve rates of penetration and reduce non-productive time.
• Conduct daily progress meetings and prepare comprehensive reports on drilling activities, costs, and HSE performance.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures during drilling operations.

Requirements
